| You'll definitely want to load some DVD movies onto the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. |
Perhaps you have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and would like to enjoy the DVD movies with this tablet. However, you may be disappointed that you could not just enjoy the DVD directly without conversion, since there's no DVD drive there. Although some users have tried a pile of software just to get DVD movies onto Samsung Galaxy Tab S for playback, a lot of problems occurred by using those DVD ripping software:
1. After converting a DVD movie (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, my purchased title), the sound and image in the output MP4 file go in separate ways.
2. In attempt of converting a recently released DVD, I get "import error".
3. The output file plays very narrow like it doesn’t scale to the right size on my Galaxy Tab S 10.1.
4. Bad image quality
5. I want to play DVD on Galaxy Tab S with subtitles...
Really terrible experience, right? So, is there a yet professional and easy-to-use DVD ripping tool can make a perfect DVD to Galaxy Tab S conversion procession while maintaining the right subtitle while keeping the best video quality?
In fact, there is a number of DVD Ripping software available to help you convert DVD videos if you want to play them on Galaxy Tab S 10.5 as you want. These software programs vary, so you might be confused when you have to choose one. If you're looking for ease of use, check out Brorsoft's DVD Ripper, which is available for Windows and Mac users. It is easy to use for editing and conversion and makes great quality copies of my DVDs. I've had success using the program to rip and convert my favorite DVD movies to a format playable by Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy S5. I've found the quality to be excellent, and see no difference when compared to playing the discs themselves.

The software works like most other DVD Rippers I've used. Pop in your disc, click Format bar and choose Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Video(*.mp4) from "Samsung" category and click the drop down menu after "Subtitles" to select your desired one, finally, click "Convert" button to start the DVD to Galaxy Tab S 10.5 conversion. For the detailed steps, you can refer to the official guide "How to Convert DVD to Galaxy Tab S Supported Video" to learn more.
Once the encoding task completes, plug your Galaxy Tab S 10.5 into your computer using the USB data cable, then copy the file to /Root/Movies. In theory, the movie should show up in the Gallery app but we couldn't get it to appear consistently. Instead, we used the My Files app to go directly to the file location and launch it from there.
There, now you know how to get DVD movies onto your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 so you can watch them on that gorgeous screen! Keep in mind that some of the settings can be tweaked to improve the video quality but it's a balance between quality and size. Using the settings Brorsoft suggested, a 90-minute DVD encoded to about a 1.2GB MP4 file. If you run out of internal storage, consider getting the Galaxy Tab USB adapter, which allows you to use attach an external USB flash drive. Enjoy the show!
